I recently came across this intriguing video on DazedDigital, it manages to have me both disturbed and fascinated.

Directed and scored by artist Mitch Stratten, the video is designed to be "an incredible boundary-blurring film" and definitely succeeded. The short film was shot in a mere 2 days, but took months to prepare in respect to set and prop building.

The director, Mitch Stratten explains the idea behind the short film in an interview for Dazed Digital here:

Mitch Stratten: Three women create a clearing in a classroom environment. They physically shift the dead space through the transferral of energy. The project is narrative and conceptual and is about physical processes and created systems. Whether working through ideas in the mind, learning new skills, constructing, performing or experiencing the film – there is the reality and surreality in the project that bleed into one another.

“THE WALL IDEA IS A TOTAL CLICHÉ IN ITSELF. MY CHALLENGE WAS TO PULL THIS OFF IN EARNEST WITH A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MEANING” – MITCH STRATTEN

I admit, it takes a while to kick in,but I find the suspense makes the end result more powerful, what do you guys think?
