The Chanel Supermarket

With the new fashion season in full swing, I thought it would be a great time to revisit Chanel's latest offerings in the form of Autumn/Winter 2014. Karl never fails to disappoint in terms of set design and production of his shows, and this season was no different. Who else could take something as genial and mundane and cover it with Chanel ?  Evidently sparing no expense, Karl recreated an entire Chanel supermarket- down to ever last detail.

As oppose to entering and exiting the catwalk, models would stick around and interact with surroundings, providing a new layer of theatricality to the show. Personally I feel this made the collection slightly more accessible and believable- making audiences believe these models are actually shopping for groceries, whilst looking amazing.

Watching the show, admittedly makes me very envious that I do not have a Chanel supermarket around the corner instead of a Tesco's. How amazing would that be?
